Adam Jones was pulled from play down in Winter Ball today. The default speculation for a move like this is to say he could be traded in the coming days. Let's see what happens. [Ad-Jon]

when does winter ball end?
January 21st
yea that is strange I heared they were in the playoffs too. Didn't something like this happen to Milkey Cabreara though?
Yes, and Melky Cabrera was in the middle of the Santana rumors... Melky was one of the names that was necessary for the deal to get done. Jones is the name to get the Bedard deal done.
is it any coincidence that the brian roberts deal is said to been dead and on the same day jones is pulled from winter ball. Maybe for the orioles to have triunfel and tillman the mariners are asking for roberts to be included.
there is a rumor out now that says the Cubs may be trying to get Bedard and Roberts again.. so I dunno.
do you have a link?
i added a link to the post, if that's what you're talking about. unless you're talking about the Cubs thing.. you can find that here.
Adam Jones was on XM today. He is still in Venezuela. He was asked by the host why he was pulled and he said that Seattle pulled him. He was asked why did they pull him and he said it was to allow things to be sorted out (or words to that effect). The interviewer was obviously looking for a scoop and asked some questions about whether he knew of trade rumors since he was in Venezuela. Jones said he was aware. He then came back and asked if the trade rumors had anything to do with him being pulled. Jones didn't seem like he knew everything (e.g. that a deal was imminent) but he also didn't seem like he was totally forthcoming. He said he didn't really know that much, that he had talked to the GM 2 days ago, and that they had told him to sit tight until things were worked out.
Anonymous, did the host ask him what he meant by "worked out"?
